NARCES Real Bride: Cassandra

When Cassandra Wolff and Mihnea Alb decided to plan a romantic winter micro-wedding February 20th, 2021 in Banff, Cassandra knew the NARCES Viola jumpsuit was going to be her perfect wedding style match.

“Because of COVID-19 we had to postpone the big wedding we had been planning to 2022, but we decided to get married on our original date,” Cassandra says. “I saw the Viola jumpsuit on NARCES Instagram page and fell in love with it! My original plan was to wear it for my rehearsal dinner, but with our change of wedding plans I wore it for our elopement—we were in the mountains and I wanted something very unique and easy to climb and move around in.”

With lockdown in effect, Cassandra worked virtually with our creative director, designer and founder Nikki to bring her perfect version of the Viola to life. “I am a curvy 5’2’’ and I shared any issues and concerns I had with Nikki about the look and fit of the jumpsuit,” Cassandra reflects.  “Working with Nikki was an absolute dream. She made sure I was completely comfortable in the jumpsuit and went above and beyond in making sure it looked exactly the way I wanted it to. Despite having to deal with a lockdown before my scheduled second fitting, Nikki was extremely accommodating in ensuring I had the full fitting experience even though I couldn’t meet with her in person.”

Cassandra completed her look with a made-to-match NARCES lace face mask and a dramatic white cape which she shopped on Etsy. “I knew I would need something to keep warm as we were in the Rockies in February and it was actually Nikki who thought of a cape—it was perfect and looks amazing in our photos blowing in the 90km winter winds!”

Set against one of Canada’s most breathtaking backdrops, Cassandra says her wedding day was magical and had many favourite moments from walking into the ceremony with her dad, to her and Mihnea’s dinner for two at the Fairmont Baff Springs where they basked in the glow of their perfect day. “I would have to say our first look was by far the best part of our wedding day. Mihnea had an idea of what I was going to be wearing and what the jumpsuit looked like, but I will never forget his face when he first saw me. We agreed I looked like a warrior princess bride, especially when I wore my face mask!”
